Dr. Rogell specializes in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Surgery and Adult Total Joint Reconstruction of the knee, hip and shoulder.  He includes the latest technology in his practice, bringing to his patients the newest and most innovative techniques for joint preservation and patient specific joint reconstruction.

He earned his BBA at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, then completed his pre-med studies at Harvard University, followed by two years of research at the National Institutes of Health (N.I.H.) in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Rogell graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2000.

Dr. Rogell then completed his surgical internship at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, MD, and Orthopedic Surgical Residency at the Westchester Medical Center, ValHalla, NY and St. Vincent’s Hospital, NY, NY. He then returned to Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship.

During his years of training, Dr. Rogell helped provide orthopedic care to the NY Rangers (NHL), the Baltimore Ravens (NFL), Baltimore Blast (MLS), Junior Olympics and various college and high school teams.

Dr. Rogell began practicing orthopedics at Connecticut Family Orthopedics in 2006 and transitioned to Somers Orthopedics in Danbury in 2020. Dr. Rogell has worked with the Danbury Militia football team, the Danbury Whalers and Titans hockey teams, Danbury Westerners baseball team and local high schools. He has also volunteered his time with our veterans through Warrior Hike.

He enjoys building relationships with patients of all ages and working with families to keep them healthy, strong and active.

Dr. Rogell is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons (ABOS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS).

He has always been an athlete who enjoys skiing, playing soccer and rugby. He is an avid reader, enjoys hiking with his family and working on his 1967 Ford Mustang.

Dr. Rogell lives with his wife and two children and rescued black lab in Fairfield County.
